Kesia is a calm, social girl, living with both parents and three siblings in North Eastern part of Uganda. She enjoys being carried on the back at all times. She likes eating millet porridge. When hungry, she cries so loud and does not want to be touched. They reside in a grass thatched hut made of mud walls and packed dirt. The house floor is regularly smeared with cow dung to reduce on dust. The family solely depends on agriculture where they practice subsistence farming on a small piece of land purely for home consumption. However, the yields are often insufficient due to soil infertility, crop diseases and unpredictable weather. The family survives on an average income of less than US 10 dollars per month. Your generous sponsorship for Kesia offers a lifeline to better education, healthcare, and an enhanced family welfare through the dedicated health and education program interventions of the organization.
