Miguel is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his parents, Francinaldo and Maria, and with a brother, in a small rural community located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, rough cement flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Francinaldo struggles to earn a living as a gardener when available, but his very low income is far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of his family. Miguel is cheerful, affectionate and intelligent. He helps his mom by putting his toys away. He likes playing with toy cars and just running around in the company of other kids his age. Miguel is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He attends nursery school and loves painting and coloring. The family is needy and through your support Miguel and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
