Mariama lives with her parents near the river Gambia in the West Coast Region of the country. She has four brothers and two sisters. Her parents are local farmers and they grow food crops and few cash crops for family consumptions. Her fathers annual income is low and cannot provide for the basic needs of his children due to inadequate farming inputs and implements. Mariama looks healthy, she enjoys playing with toys and she goes to the village nursery school. Supporting this child will enhance her potentials in acquiring a quality education and good healthcare services.
