Philemon is a brilliant, inquisitive boy, living with both parents, grandfather and sibling in North Eastern Uganda. He attends school at the kindergarten and likes distinguishing objects. His family cultivates maize, beans, millet and cassava every planting season for livelihood. They hardly eat two meals a day due to limited farm production brought by bad weather which affects food production. They supplement it by providing casual labor in farm lands of other people for acquisition of basic needs like clothing, medical care, good shelter and education for the children. The father who is the sole provider is overwhelmed by the number of children because of lack of stable source of income. The family lives in huts made of mud walls, wattle and grass thatched roofs which require constant repairs yet the thatching grass is very scarce thus leaking whenever there is rain. Your kind support to him will be a blessing to Philemon thus helping him to achieve his dream.
