Francis resides with his parents in a remote area in North Eastern Uganda. He is a humble and cheerful boy who enjoys simple pleasures like playing in sand and water alongside his friends. He is the only child in the family currently. He does not go to school due to his tender age. Their livelihood depends entirely on subsistence farming, where they cultivate common food crops such as beans, cassava, maize, and sorghum. The family survives on less than US 10 dollars per month. Acquiring other basic necessities like kerosene, sugar and soap is also a challenge. Unfortunately, their yields are poor due to the unpredictable effects of climate change. His family struggles to provide him with the basic necessities required for a successful education and they sleep in a grass thatched, mud walled house that offers little protection during rainy seasons, endangering the health of Francis and his parents. This challenging economic situation adversely affects his quality of life, making sponsorship support a beacon of hope for a brighter future for him and his family.
