Francisco is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his parents, Francisco and Camila, and with a brother, in a small rural community about 350 miles south of Fortaleza. Their simple home, which is rented, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Francisco works as an assistant bricklayer (doing odd jobs) and the family receives a small family allowance from the federal government. Francisco is affectionate and polite. He likes playing with toy cars in the company of other kids his age. Francisco is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He attends nursery school and loves painting and coloring. The family is needy and through your support Francisco and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation, education and nutrition.
