Richard is a cheerful boy who Lives in a small village in the Northern part of Sierra Leone with his blind single parent mother grandmother and siblings. His father has not been found since Richard was six months old. Richard has been raised by his blind mother through the help of his grandmother and other good will people. The family dwells in a small mud house roofed with old zinc. They sleep on an old wooden beds with dry grass mattress. He is a beginner in their community primary school. His best subject is social studies. The mother only depend on the support from close relatives and good will people to take care of herself and her three children. Sometime the mother finds it difficult to survive with her children when there is no one to help as a result Richard goes to school with rags uniform and secured his book on a plastic bag. They manage to have a single meal a day. Richard likes kick stuffs around the house, and play football. With sponsorship. He will grow up healthy and have the opportunity to be educated and change his family present situation.
