Mariama is a beautiful young girl. She is a healthy and happy girl thus loved by her entire family. She is fond of dancing. She is living with her parents, cousin, aunt and grandparents in the rural Western Region of the Gambia. She has a brother and sister. She is attending the Community School where she is learning both English and Arabic subjects. However, her school lacks some basic learning and playing materials that could improve her performance. Farming is the main source of income and food of her Father. Her mother does vegetable gardening to supplement the efforts of the father. If Mariama is sponsored she will be opportune to health and education services to enhance her health and education.
