Suren fondly called Kanda belongs to a very poor and needy family. His parents are hardworking people. The father is employed as a casual worker and the mother works as a domestic laborer. Their income is too less to support the children or provide them with even one square meal a day. Their earnings are approximately US dollar 678 per annum. Keen on giving this child the chance of a better future thru education, the desperate parents finally sought aid from this project. Suren is now attending primary school. His favorite subject is  Odiya, the regional language. He loves playing outdoor games with his little friends. He keeps average health. He has two sisters and one brother.
