Heloise is a young Brazilian girl who lives with her parents, Elison and Michele, and with a brother, on the outskirts of a small town located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, rough cement flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Electricity is available. Water is carried from a well. Both the parents are unemployed at this time. The family receives a very small family allowance from the federal government, which is far from enough to meet basic needs. Heloise is intelligent, calm and cheerful. She helps her mom by putting away items like toys and dishes. She loves playing house and with dolls, and just running around in the company of other girls her age. Heloise is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. She attends nursery school and loves painting and coloring. The family is needy and through your support Heloise and her family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation, education and nutrition.
