Hawa is an orphan who live in the western part of the country with her mother and siblings in an extended family compound where her fathers younger brothers are living with their families. They are living in a muddy made block house, roofed with corrugated iron sheets, plastered with cement. She is a humble and smart girl; currently she is in good health and attending school. She likes playing with local toys. Her single parent does vegetable gardening of which she sells some and consume some at family level. Her annual income does not suffice the needs of the family. Therefore, Hawa was enrolled into child fund sponsorship program to benefit from basic education, basic health care, shelter, clothing and a lot more.
