Nuredin was born in Siraro a place found in the Oromia Nationalities Regional State. Nuredin lives with his parents and he has no siblings. He is in primary school student and his favorite subject is Afan Oromo local language. He spends his time by playing with his age mate around his house. His father is a breadwinner and he earns meager income from farming work that is not sufficient to support the family’s basic needs. His mother is a housewife and she takes care of the family. Nuredin and his family lives in a small grass roofed hut. The community where the child lives lacks access to quality basic education, transportation facilities and health service. There is no sanitary facility and most of the houses are single room where there is no partition for sleeping and cooking. The family annual income is below 360 USD and that is not sufficient enough to cover all family’s basic expenses.
