Anthony is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his mother, Maria, in a rural community in the interior of the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is lent to them, has brick walls, rough cement floors and a clay-tiled roof. It has a simple bathroom. The father has never provided any financial assistance whatsoever (his whereabouts is unknown). Maria receives a very small family allowance from the federal government, which is far from enough to meet basic needs. Anthony is sweet and active. He likes playing with balls and toy cars. He is fond of animals, especially dogs and cats. Anthony is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He attends nursery school and loves painting and coloring. Through your support Anthony and his family will have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, education and nutrition.
