Meet Matias. He is a joyful, playful and caring boy who likes to play with plush animals. He grows up in the city of Oruro, western Bolivia, which is famous for its colorful carnival. With limited resources and toys, he finds joy in simple activities that capture his curiosity and imagination. He lives with his parents and brother in a small house made of adobe walls and corrugated metal roof. His father earns a living as a construction worker, while his mother takes care of the home. The family makes around US $ 274.00 per month. The income that the family receives is minimal and insufficient to meet all of their basic family needs. Poverty is a daily reality that most Bolivian children face throughout their childhood, as they do not have enough resources to thrive. The story of this child can follow the same pattern if we do not do something to change it.
