She is a joyful, curious and smart girl who lives in Cochabamba, central Bolivia.  Despite the limited resources available to her, she finds creative ways to entertain herself and make the most out of every situation. Rubi lives with her parents and 5 siblings in a rudimentary house made of brick walls and corrugated iron sheets on the roof. While they have electricity, they lack adequate sanitation services. Her father earns a living as a construction worker, while her mother takes care of the home. The family monthly income comes to around US $ 300.00. This is barely enough money for a family to sustain itself.
