Silus lives with his parents in a small farming village in the Northern part of Uganda. He goes to school and attends from one of the community primary schools. The type of houses in this family are grass-thatched, made of mud and wattle walls with compacted soils on the floor. Silus and family have challenges in provision of meals because of the small portion of land that they own which is only half an acre and have lost its fertility to produce adequate quantity of food thus the family depends on only a single meal a day. The mother goes to the garden every morning and grows food crops like cassava, maize, simsim, millet, beans, sorghum, groundnuts and green vegetables twice a year but these crops entirely depend on the natural rains that have kept changing seasons affecting the harvest due to prolonged drought. During his free time he likes playing football with his friends and helps his family for chores like fetching water. Your kind sponsorship towards Silus will help him attain his dream of becoming an engineer.
