Fatou and family lives in a small rural village in the country in the West Coast Region The Gambia, which is about 147km away from countrys Capital Banjul. The Village is about the population of about 800 inhabitants. Her parents are peasant farmers who cultivate crops seasonally and they depend on seasonal rains to make their living. Her parents are low income earners whose annual income is mostly below average, her father cultivates peanuts, coos, cassava and also do carpentry work whilst her mother does tomato and pepper cultivation at their background. Enrolling her through ChildFund sponsorship program, make her have access to many basic needs a child might need.
