Isata lives in a mud bricks house with old zinc as roof top in a small farming village in the eastern region of Sierra Leone. She lives with her parents, one brother and one sister. She sleeps in a locally made bed on a savanna grass stuffed mattress with her mother. Farming is their primary source of income. Her mother helps the father on farming activities but sell local market like banana, yam and oil palm in their community. After harvest some of the products are sold to take care of their basic needs like health, education and clothing. They also reserve some for their consumption. Their annual income is estimated at US$ 209.00 which is not enough to solve the family problems. Isata is attending the community school and her best subject is science. Her health is good. A potential sponsor like you can help her to actualize her dream of becoming a medical nurse.
