Sabina is a cheerful girl who lives in Turkana County in the northern part of Kenya. She lives together with her parents and a brother. They live in a communal land in a grass thatched house. They get their water from a nearby river which can expose them to waterborne diseases. The father is the bread winner who depends on collecting and selling firewood and the mother depends on making and selling brooms. The family’s annual income is less than $ 360 which hardly meets their basic needs. This challenge has forced the family to struggle hard to get food, medical care, school supply, house supply and other necessities. Sabina goes to a nearby school in their village and performs well in drawing and coloring. Sabina likes playing with handmade toys with her friends during free time.
