Pietro is a very young Brazilian boy who lives with his parents, Renato and Maria, and with a sister, on the outskirts of a small town located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is lent to them, has brick walls, rough cement flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Water is carried from a well. Renato works as a day laborer in agriculture when available and his low income is far from enough to meet basic needs. Pietro is active, observant and cheerful. He likes playing with balls and toy cars in the company of other kids his age. Pietro is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He is still too young to attend school. The family is needy and through your support Pietro and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation, education and nutrition.
