Mervis lives with both parents two sisters and one brother in Chongwe district a rural farming area located in the Easter part of Lusaka the Capital City in Kapete community. The parents are subsistence farmers who mainly grow maize and groundnuts. Yields are sometimes low due to unfertile soils and unpredictable weather patterns. The mother sells groundnuts and maize at the local market. She manages to raise $350 per month but this is not enough to help the family with their daily needs. Mervis is in school. She enjoys playing jumping rope games. Your support through sponsorship will leave an indelible mark on the life of this child and the family.
