Tiangay is a quiet and friendly girl. She lives with her parents and three siblings in a small but clean village located in the eastern part of Sierra Leone. They live in the family house which comprises of grandparents and uncle. Her parents are small scale farmers. They grow potatoes, rice, cassava, yam and vegetables. Her mother also does backyard gardening. Some of the crops when harvested are sold to meet other needs of the family. The annual income of the family is estimated at US$ 195 which is not enough to take good care of their family basic needs let alone to raise her out of poverty status. Tiangay is attending primary school in her community. She loves playing balance ball with her peers. Despite the hard living conditions of the family, Tiangay remains healthy most of the time. Sponsorship would help this girl have a good education, succeed in life and get a brighter future.
