Rohit fondly called as Badal has experienced only misery and hardship in his young life. His father is the only earning member of the family. He is a causal worker and earns a very low income of about US dollar 503 per annum which is far from sufficient to support the growing child or provide him with even one square meal a day. The mother tries to make the most of what is at hand, but there is abounding privation at home with no way out of their miserable plight. Keen on giving this child the chance of a better future thru education, the desperate parents finally sought aid from this project. Rohit is attending primary school and loves to read Odiya, the regional language. He is interested in playing group games with his little friends.  He keeps normal health.  He has scars round her face.  Rohit has one sister.
