Sama who is normally called Hawa is a brilliant smart girl, who lives with her parent and siblings in a village that is surrounded by coconut trees and thick forest. They dwell in another family house occupying only one bedroom. Father is an unpaid community teacher who also practices subsistence rice farming. She sleeps with her parent on a local stick bed with grass mattress. Their community hand pump well does not sustain water during the late months of the dry season. They get drinking water from unprotected swamp wells. The family combine annual income of US$214.00 is not enough to take care of the family basic needs and even the lunch they use to go to school is a challenge. Susan likes playing with her peers.
