Mapalo lives in the Mungule Community of Chibombo District in the Central Province of Zambia with both of his parents and siblings. The family engages in small-scale farming, growing maize and vegetables. However, due to unpredictable weather patterns, soil infertility, and poor cultivation methods, their harvests are often insufficient to meet their basic needs, resulting in an annual income of only $300. Currently, Mapalo is in school and has a strong interest in numbers, aspiring to become a doctor in the future. He is in good health and enjoys playing with clay dolls. At home, he helps his parents with household chores, such as clearing the table after meals and drawing water. We are hopeful that your sponsorship will provide Mapalo with the support he needs to access essential resources and work towards a brighter future.
