Mamie is the second child to her parents. She lives with her parents and three siblings in a small farming village in the eastern part of Sierra Leone. They live in a small house built with mud bricks with old zinc as roof top. The house lacks basic household furniture and proper sanitary facilities. Her parents are petty traders whose economic status is generally low. Their annual income is estimated at US$ 250 which cannot meet to all their basic requirements. She is attending primary school in the community. Her mother takes her to school every morning and collects her after school. She is friendly and likes to play local games with her age mates. Despite all their hard living conditions, Mamie remains healthy most of the time. The wish of her parents is for Mamie to be educated to become one of the prominent educated persons and be helpful in life. Sponsorship will help in such direction.
