Miatta is a young girl living with her parents, one brother and two sisters in a farming village in the Eastern part of Sierra Leone. Her parents are farmers and they grow crops like corn, rice, cassava and beans for their consumption and the balance for sale. Their annual income is estimated at $200.00 which is insufficient to cater for all of their baisc needs let alone to raise them out of poverty status. They live in a three bed room rented house with old zinc as roof top which leaks during the rainy season. The leaking roof makes life uncomfortable for Miatta and family. Miatta is attending the community primary school and remains healthy most of the time. This family needs support in order to ensure that this young girl enjoys her childhood and grows up to become an educated and confident child to have a better future.
