Monica is the only child in the family. She lives with her mother in one of the villages in Chimusanya community. Her mother is a peasant farmers; she grows maize, sweet potatoes, cassava and groundnuts. The harvest has always been very low due to due poor cultivation methods and soil infertility. The family’s annual income is 250 dollars.  Her mother sells vegetables at the local market but income raised is less than 1 US dollar per day. The family’s source of water is a borehole which is 2km from their house and they use kerosene for light. Monica is in school at pre-school. she likes playing with toys made of clay soil. Your sponsorship will enable this Monica to have adequate access to basic essentials and have a good future.
