Joshua is a cheerful young boy who lives with his parents in Chainda community. He is the last born in the family of four where two are sisters and one brother. Joshua is  in preschool because he is still too young. He likes to play with toys and dolls. His parents are small scale farmers who mainly grow seasonal crops like maize and cassava. But due to unpredictable weather conditions, soil infertility and poor cultivation methods, their yields are often very low.
