Suryas young life is marred by poverty and misery. Her parents work as  laborers in order to maintain the family. Their hard work fetch them a very low income of approximately US Dollar 388 per annul, which, living in an urban area, does not suffice to tide over the financial problems. They are at their wits end trying to solve the mounting problems, but there is hardly any sign of improvement in their living conditions. Finally in utter desperation, they sought aid from this project in order to provide a better future for this child. Surya is attending school, and is active. Her favorite subjects are English and Telugu language subjects. She enjoys playing group games with her friends. She likes to dance. Her health is average. Surya has one sister.
