Shiny young life is marred by poverty and misery.  Since her fathers death, her mother takes care of the house by working as a domestic labor. Her hard work fetches  a very low income of approximately USD 406 per annum which,  living in an urban area, does not suffice to tide over the financial problems. The mother is at her wits end trying to solve the mounting problems, but there is hardly any sign of improvement in their living conditions. Finally in utter desperation, she sought aid from this project in order to provide a better future for this child. Shiny is attending school, and  she is active. Her favorite subject is Telugu, the regional language. She enjoys playing group games with her friends. Shiny has three elder brothers and one elder sister.
