Likhithas young life is marred by poverty and misery. Her father works has a daily wage laborer in order to maintain the family. His hard work fetches him a very low income of approximately US 827 per annum, which does not suffice to tide over the financial problems. The mother being a housewife, is at her wits end trying to solve the mounting problems, but there is hardly any sign of improvement in their living conditions. Finally in utter desperation, they sought aid from this project in order to provide a better future for this child. Likhitha is attending primary school. She is active. She enjoys playing hide and sick with her friends and likes dancing. Her health is good. She has one sister.
