Jayadurga is fondly called as Lucky. Her young life is marred by poverty and misery. Her father works as an autorickshaw driver in order to maintain the family. His hard work fetches him a very low income of approximately US dollar 754 per annum which living in an urban area, does not suffice to tide over the financial problems. The mother being a housewife, is at her wits end trying to solve the mounting problems, but there is hardly any sign of improvement in their living conditions. Finally in utter desperation, they sought aid from this project in order to provide a better future for this child. Jayadurga is attending primary school, and is active. Her favorite subject is English. She enjoys playing group games with her friends. Her health is average. Jayadurga has two brothers.
