This joyous child is Surlandi, the youngest son in the family, anybody will easily like him for his persona. He, his brother and his mother live in a traditional house made of straw with no flooring on a hillside community in Eastern Indonesia, commonly known for its long dry, and humid season. It has been a big challenge for his family to be properly sustainable throughout the year. His parents are separated, making his mother a single parent who dont generate income, the family can only gather income of around US$ 15.00 or less. With lack of resources, they must plant and farm their own meals. They do need an alternative income generation whenever necessary. In addition, in the area where they live, many dont have bathrooms inside their house, bad sanitation thus well, rain and forest be their sources of clean water. Your kind sponsorship can help us fill in this similar gap in the life of the child and community. To help this family provide adequate care, education, child protection and fulfill his rights as a child, we are excited to welcome him to the ChildFund program.
