Oumie lives in the western part of the country with her parents, five brothers and two sisters. Her father is a mason who depends on the little income he earns to keep the family going. Her mother is a gardener who helps with the daily household and also does vegetable gardening to supplement the familys feeding. She is currently attending nursery school in their village. Their combined annual income is approximately US $345, 00 which is not enough to cater for both the familys needs and the childs educational needs. Oumie attends school at the village primary school. Her much loved subject is maths. Her hobbies include skipping, singing and dancing. She has a fairly good health.
