The family practice local farming and traditional animal husbandry as their main source of income. They live in huts made of mud. With only $340 USD in income the father generates each year, they struggle to improve their living conditions, eating two meals a day all year round. Sory is a little boy, admirable, courageous, attending the village preschool. He is in good health and likes to play ball with his age friends, He sleeps with his parents in a local bed under an old mosquito net.
