Salun hardly carries a smiling face but very friendly. He lives with his parents and siblings in a small farming village located in the interior northern region of Sierra Leone. They all dwell in an unfinished house built with mud bricks and roofed with old zinc. The father is a subsistence farmer who cultivates rice and other foodstuffs like yams, cassava and potato for home consumption. Their source of water is obtained from an open well about one kilometre away and also exposes the family to water borne diseases. He is a smart boy and in the evening, he studies with his sisters using a solar light. He also helps out at home by fetching firewood. He loves to sing and dance traditional music also like to play a football when they relax during moonlight nights. Support from sponsorship will contribute to make a remarkable difference in his life and family.
