Patience, a young girl, resides in the Eastern part of Uganda with her biological parents. Her parents are engaged in small-scale farming on a plot of land that is less than an acre in size. They cultivate crops both for their own consumption and for sale in order to meet their basic needs. However, the limitations of farming, which only has two seasons, often result in periods throughout the year when the family struggles to sustain themselves. Unfortunately, this has led to the parents resorting to self-medication, which proves ineffective and may even result in other persistent health issues. The inadequate availability of food has also caused Patience and her siblings to go to bed on empty stomachs. Additionally, their sleeping arrangements are far from ideal. They have to share a small mattress where only their heads find a soft spot, while the rest of their bodies rest on sacks used for harvesting if there are any yields. Your assistance will greatly contribute to improving Patiences overall well-being by providing her with opportunities that can make a significant difference in her life.
