Paulina is a jovial girl who comes from the northern part of Kenya, Turkana County. She is lives with her mother, father, two brothers and three sisters. The family lives in a palm thatched mud hut in a communal land. They fetch water from a community hand pump whose water is saline and not safe for child consumption. Her mother is a mat and basket weaver while her father depends on herding activity. The family also practices firewood selling as an income supplementation activity. However, the annual income derived from these economic activities is below 360 US dollars which is not enough to support family basic needs. Her mother decided to approach the office seeking for assistance. Paulina is not enrolled in school since she has not attained school going age. She likes playing with toy dolls, dancing and running with friends. Paulina has not been assigned any chores since she is still young. Her mother would like her to become a news anchor when she grows up. Your support will bring a lasting change to her life and the entire family.
