Gael is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his mother, Marynalia, and with a brother, in a small rural community located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is rented, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Marynalia receives some aid from her ex-husband, which is far from enough to meet even the most basic needs of the family. Gael is cheerful, friendly and active. He likes playing ball and with toy cars in the company of other kids his age. He has a cat he is fond of. Gael is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He is still too young to attend school. The family is needy and through your support Gael and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation, education and nutrition.
