This is Chuchin. Hes 3 years old and belongs to a humble family. His father strives working as an employee and earns approximately $200 USD per month. His mother is a housewife. Living on this low income is not easy. Both parents struggle to keep Chuchin thriving. Chuchin speaks Spanish. This family lives in a small, rented cabin which has one room, a kitchen and a latrine. They have access to electricity and drinking water. Their scarce furniture and appliances include a table with three chairs, two beds, one closet, a washing machine and one television. Chuchins diet is based on eggs, lentils, tortillas, coffee, noodles, beans, some boiled vegetables and chicken. In spite of the adverse situation, Chuchin is healthy and has been vaccinated against some of the common diseases that affect children. His favorite festivity is the community feast. He likes to see the Matachines dance and also likes to go to mass. He plays a lot with his mom and cousins in the yard.
