Ndella is a very calm and polite girl. She has lost her father and is now living with her mother in one of the remote villages of the countryside. The siblings are taken to other close relatives as the mother cannot afford to provide the basic needs to the whole family. She is a farmer like all the people living in this area. She also takes care of the family and the house. She manages to bring home about US $ 1,200.00 each year after selling part of her crops at the end of the rainy season. This annual income is hardly enough to take care of the family’s basic needs. Ndella is in elementary school where she is doing well. At home, she enjoys having fun with her dolls and playing different games with her friends. She is also helpful with small errands and the light house chores.
