Mohamed lives with his parents and three sisters in a remote village. They dwell in a self-built mud house located in the northern region of Sierra Leone. He is the only son to both parents. His father is a small-scale rice farmer and also does a bit of inland valley swamp vegetable gardening during the rainy season while his mother remains an active house wife. They have no pipe borne water and they obtain water from an open well which is prone to water borne diseases. They lack electricity facility at home and the family use rechargeable solar lamp at night. Mohamed is attending primary school in his community although the distance he has to walk about one kilometer every day to and from school. Mohamed is in good health and always love to play football with his peer group members. He help his family with the house chores.
