Satou is a friendly child living in a small village in the West Coast Region of The Gambia with her parents and siblings. Her family works as small-scale farmers, focusing on growing a few essential crops for their own consumption. However, the limited income from their harvests is often insufficient to meet even the basic needs of the family, making it difficult to ensure Satou and her siblings have access to quality education, reliable healthcare and other basic needs. Sponsorship could make a profound difference in Satou’s life by providing her with the resources to secure a better future.
