Kalel is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his parents, Francisco and Maria, and with one brother, Bin a small rural community located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a clay-tiled roof. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. Francisco works as an assistant bricklayer (doing odd jobs) and the family receives a small family allowance from the federal government. Kalel is active and affectionate. He likes playing with toy cars in the company of other kids his age. Kalel is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He is still too young to attend school. The family is needy and through your support Kalel and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
