Grace lives in the Mungule Community of Chibombo District in the Central Province of Zambia with her parents and siblings. The family relies on small-scale subsistence farming, growing maize. However, due to unpredictable weather,  their crop yields are consistently low each year, resulting in an annual income of just $300, which is not enough to meet their basic needs. Grace is currently in primary school and  has a strong liking for numbers and aspires to become a nurse after her education. She is in good health and enjoys playing with her friends. At home, she helps her parents with chores, such as washing plates.
