Jonathan lives with his parents and siblings in a remote village within Kabile Community of Chibombo District in Zambias Central Province. His family relies on small-scale farming as their primary source of income. Unfortunately, Chibombo faces unpredictable weather challenges, including prolonged droughts and floods, which severely impact agricultural yields. They cultivate crops on a small piece of land and sell any surplus they manage to produce. However, their annual income does not exceed US$300, which is insufficient to meet their basic needs, particularly for education and healthcare. Jonathan is from the Lenje tribe and is currently in school. He has a strong affinity for numbers and is a healthy child who enjoys playing with his friends.
