Jeremy is the last son and the youngest child he is always quiet and likes crawling, he lives with the parents and four siblings in a grass thatched roof house near a national park in mid-western Uganda. The parents are peasant farmers growing crops for food and for income. The crops grown are always affected by the ever-changing climatic conditions and destruction by stray wild animals like elephants leaving them with very little to harvest. Jeremy and the family always have food shortages the whole season and barely enough to feed on. Oftentimes they can only afford one main meal day. The siblings always study but does not do assessments because the parents are unable to pay school fees and other requirements in time, this worries the parents of Jeremy on how he will study and complete when the time comes. There are common cases of domestic violence and alcoholism where Jeremy stays. As a result, this might affect his upbringing and education. Sponsoring Jeremy will enable him to have to access to all basic needs most importantly education and the community will be sensitized on dangers of alcoholism and gender-based violence.
