Levy is a young Brazilian boy who lives with his maternal grandparents, Jose and Delcira, and with two sisters (he is the middle child), in a slum area on the outskirts of a city located in the state of Ceara. Their simple home, which is self-owned, has brick walls, ceramic tile flooring and a concrete slab ceiling. It has a tiny bathroom. Running water and electricity are available. The mother is deceased. The father lives in another area and has not been providing any type of financial support for his children. Jose receives a small old age pension, which is far from enough to meet basic needs. Levy is affectionate, polite and intelligent. He runs small errands for his grandma. He loves drawing. Levy is considered to have good health, in spite of the poor living conditions and diet. He attends a local public elementary school and his favorite subject is arts. The family is needy and through your support Levy and his family have the opportunity to participate in important projects in the areas of health, recreation and education.
