Maximilla is an amiable girl who lives in Turkana County in the northern part of Kenya. She lives together with her parents and two brothers. They live on communal land in a grass-thatched house. They get their water from the tap. The father is the breadwinner who depends on riding a bicycle and the mother sells a small kiosk. The family’s annual income is less than $ 360 which hardly meets their basic needs. This challenge has forced the family to struggle to get food, medical care, school supplies, home supplies and other necessities. Maximilla goes to a nearby school in their villa and loves drawing and coloring. Maximilla plays rope skipping with her friends during her free time and washes the dishes at home to help her mother. Community leaders referred the parents to seek help from a Childfund project to assist Maximilla to achieve her dreams. According to her parents, Maximilla would like to become a nurse in the future. Your support will bring a lasting change to Maxilla’s life.
