Safiatou is a little girl who is living with her parents in Sampolia, a village situated in the Kalela community in Guinea. They dwell in a mud house with no modern amenities. They are obliged to content themselves with candles or hurricane lamps to light in the house at night. They are traditional farmers who manage to grow local crops every year. With the proceeds from their farm, they have difficulties to satisfy the family’s needs. With only $380 USD they raise yearly from their sales, they can share only two meals a day and get few clothes for the family members. Safiatou is a little kind girl who is attending school in the village. Despite the difficult living condition of the family, the child often looks happy and likes to play with doll with her peer group. At home she sleeps with the mother on a wooden bed under a mosquito net they benefitted from ChildFund malaria project. A helping hand from a kind sponsor would make a difference in the life of this little child.
